Music Facilities
Rehearsals, classes, workshops and coaching sessions take place at the Edward Johnson Building, home of the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. Individual practice rooms and several rehearsal spaces with pianos are available to Toronto Summer Music Academy students. The Faculty’s music library, housing one of the largest major research music collections in North America, is available to students.
Performance Opportunities
The Academy offers a wealth of performance platforms for students, which include master classes and the twice-weekly Emerging Artists concert series. In addition, the Toronto Summer Music Festival presents many concerts featuring both the Academy artist-faculty and Festival guest artists. Academy students receive free admission to all Academy master classes, Emerging Artists concerts and Festival concerts.
Housing and Meals
Tuition does not include accommodation or meals.
Toronto Summer Music organizes accommodation (including meals) for out-of-town participants at Victoria University Residences located on the University of Toronto campus and situated across the street from the Edward Johnson Building. Major Toronto visitor sites are located within walking distance.
Accommodation is shared (twin bedrooms) and includes a complete meal plan. Study rooms, laundry and housing and meals is approximately $425 per week.
