This workshop is designed for talented young composers from around the world with demonstrated originality and skill in their creation of string quartets. Four composers will be selected as active participants and will work closely with renowned Canadian composer Glenn Buhr.
The composers’ string quartets will be discussed and refined in rehearsal sessions with the Penderecki String Quartet and performed at the end of the workshop week. Composers can also participate as auditors to experience the master classes of Glenn Buhr and to witness the creative interaction between composer and performer.
